Morning constitutionals
The boys normally enjoy going out in the morning, to sniff around and do a bit of romping. But, when the ground is covered in snow, they do the bare minimum and head right for the door to go back in.
Snoopy and Smoke, checking out "The Pee Tree."
Smoke doesn't have much "clearance" in the snow.
"Enough of this insanity. Let us in now!"

Our family is officially growing!
Presenting...BABY MEISSNER!
Doesn't he/she look just like his/her Daddy? We went for our first ultrasound today (and both of us cried). The head is on the right (and grinning) and the butt is on the left. Our due date is May 26th. We won't know if it's a boy or a girl for a while. My guess is that with parents like us the kid will be stubborn enough to not let us know until he/she comes out! Fortunately our baby registry is all gender neutral.
We are soooooo excited! Now that we have the picture it's all become real. Keep those prayers coming. We're in for an exciting 6 months.
Hugs,
John, Kim, Baby, Snoopy & Smoke

A new "puppy" on the way and our first snow of the winter
Kim and I found out on Monday that we are expecting our first two-legged child in late May or early June. We have been married for just over two years and because of our ages and our past medical histories, had given up on having human babies a long time ago. But, God does work miracles and we believe this to be one of them. Please pray for a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby thanks. When I told Snoopy that I was going to be a Daddy, he said "You're already a Daddy!" Smoke, when told the happy news, said "Pleeze geeve meee some more foood!" We are all as happy as can be and both Snoopy and Smoke will be active participants in helping us raise the little one.
Today, we got our first snow of the season. The flakes weren't very big and it blew around in the wind quite a bit, but was sufficient enough to dust the ground.
It's beginning to look like Winter already! When asked how they felt about the change in weather, the Boys said: "Go out in that when we have a perfectly good basement to go in?"
If only they had opposable thumbs, we'd teach them how to use the human potty, as long as they promised to flush when they were done!

Just another day with the "Men-o-paws!"
Snoopy and Smoke have been especially nice to us lately. And we sure have appreciated that.
When you come to our house, Snoopy and Smoke will greet you at the door with barks, wags and jumping up on you. They love visitors. After awhile, if you can't find Smoke, just look under a crumpled up blanket. He'll be in there, keeping warm. Snoopy will probably be up on the edge of the couch, having a nap, but ready to jump up and love his Mommy at a moment's notice.
Our house? Two people, two dogs, twelve legs, lots of love!

Another day with Snoopy and Smoke

The boys have a new friend!
It's Winston the wrinkle doggie. He plays next door while his grandpa paints the buildings. He's a cute little guy, who has the most wonderful puppy breath! Snoopy and Smoke told Winston that he can come play with them anytime. Grandpa says "I think I'll keep him here with me." Who can blame him? That little Winston is such a little bitty sweetie!

You can bring your own toys, or play with ours. And we'll watch Planet's Funniest Animals on the tee vee.
Thanks for visiting us, Powder-Puff and Asta. We love you!

It's Da Boyziz who make Noyziz!
It's another day at the Meissner House, as the sun breaks the horizon on the first day of Fall. Yesterday, was an interesting day. Snoopy was his usual, calm, lovable self. Oh, wait....did I say calm? If someone passes near our house, Snoopy drops everything to get up in the window and bark a go away warning. of course, Smoke joins in, as if he has nothing better to do. Which, a lot of times, he doesn't. But yesterday, that little Runtley Q. Rodent (The Q stands for Qute!) was pretty busy, setting a personal record by knocking over the kitchen garbage can three times. While likely impressive to other dogs, his Mami and Papi weren't real pleased. Oh well, we love him anyway.
Since it's Sunday, Papi was up at 0 dark thirty to go to work. Smoke thought that meant it was time to get up and play, while Snoopy just sat up on the bed, as cute as can be, watching his Daddy. Smoke jumped off and on the bed, running up to Mami and kissing her awake. (She didn't seem to appreciate that.)
It's been a whole year since we arrived in Nebraska. Snoopy and Smoke make our lives here full of joy everyday. Good boys!
Hey everybody! Look who stopped by to visit!

The stampede has begun
It's the start of another new day. The sun is shining, the birds have apparently headed South already, as I hear no singing. But, as I sit here in my downstairs office, I can hear the pounding of little dog paws thundering on the floor above my head. Snoopy and Smoke love to chase each other, then wrassle each other for hours on end. One of these days, we're gonna leave a video camera running when we leave, to see what they do when we're gone.
They're such good boys!

How to watch all the different videos on Pup-o-vision
Next to the play arrow, there's a button with 3 little squares on it. Click that once or twice and it'll bring up thumbnails of all the movies. Click on the one you want to watch and it'll start. It may play the next one automatically, or you may have to click the little box to bring the thumbnails back up.
Now with the addition of more videos, they don't all come up when you open up the thumbnails. To get the other ones to come up, click the little arrow just to the right of the first row of thumbnails and you will see the others.
I hope you like 'em
